How Can We Show Support For Our Troops

Filed under: Misc — admin at 9:00 am on Sunday, April 27, 2008

Some people have asked me how can they show support our troops. There are a number of ways to show your support. The bottom line is that we must stand up against our enemies and show support for our military. There are many groups in this country that want to destroy the efforts of our troops and our great country. These groups must be stopped.
The following is a list of how you can support our military personnel:

1) Write to Congress/Senate - If you want to support our military, you should write to Congress or the Senate. Write to all the senators and congressman. Tell them to support our troops in Iraq and other military actions around the world. Tell them that they must finish the job in Iraq. Bringing home the military now will send a terrible message to our enemies and will bring down the morale of our troops.

2) Write to our troops or send care packages - Write letters of support to our military. Tell them that you are proud of their duty to our country and that they our doing a great job.
I’ve talked to military families and they have told me that the decreasing support for our military is sending the wrong message to our enemies.

You can also send care packages to our troops. There are a number of ways to send packages to our military. The following link is one resource that you can use: http://mach1collectibles.com/carepackage.htm/.

Our troops will appreciate anything that you will do. Our troops need our support more then ever. Lets send a message that we care about them.

3) Tell the Liberal media to back off and start showing support for America - I believe that the CNN’s, CBS’s ABC’s and Minneapolis Star Tribune’s of our media are not telling the American public the truth about Iraq. In my conversations with family members of marines fighting in Iraq, they have told me that our military is easily winning the war in Iraq. They have told me that the liberal media is trying scare the American public and are misrepresenting the truth about the war in Iraq.
These families also told me that the biggest obstacle that our brave soldiers are facing is the media and its campaign against our military.

Many people that I have talked to also told me that they are dumb founded that liberals in America don’t seem to care about the bodies that have been found in mass graves in Iraq. The numbers total in the thousands and are growing daily. They can’t seem to understand the liberal media in this country and their love affair with our enemies.

It seems as if the media is protecting the people who carried out those atrocities. Doesn’t this undermine liberal values (if they have any). Don’t liberals support victims and minority rights? Aren’t liberals supposed to care that women and children were raped, beaten and murdered at the hands of Saddam Hussein’s death squads (prior to our invasion and the liberation of Iraq)?

I guess the liberal media only cares about destroying American values and they don’t care about the people of Iraq. I don’t really care about the reason why we went to Iraq. I feel it was the right decision. A brutal dictator was forced out of power and a country was given its freedom. Now we have learned about the mass murders that took place in Iraq. If we would have listened to the media and liberals in America, tens of thousands more people would have been raped and murdered.

I guess the liberal media would have had blood on their hands. It’s time that America sends these anti-American organizations a message. Turn to Fox news to get your news. CNN will soon get the message and then try to whore themselves to the American public. They will change their tune when the public gets their news elsewhere.

It’s time that we support our troops. I’m sick and tired of not seeing support our troops magnets on cars driven by liberals. Liberals say that they support our troops but they don’t show their support. Supporting our troops is the right thing for every American to do. We are in a fight for our existence and our troops are the ones sacrificing their lives for our existence. The very least we can do is show our support for their actions and bravery.

The Worlds Greatest Sexual Accessory Survey for Lads to Use

Filed under: Online Shopping — admin at 10:54 pm on Saturday, April 26, 2008

So sex aid are on the lips of every girl these days, either chatting about them in the chat rooms, at the art gallery or on the television. But which sex aid is the favourite, with the massive choice to select from surely a sex toy researcher had to find out the best one.

A new firm asked over one hundred and forty UK shoppers in November what their best sex aid was along with other personal questions.

If you love sex toys you should try out Penis Pumps

It was found that the most best sex aid for UK shoppers was the vibrator, and they just loved it! Ladies were so excited by the idea of a really big vibrator that many of them would use it straight after coming home from work. The best models of vibrator were the Jessica bunny vibrators as they help to stimulate the clitoris as well as inserting into the love tunnel.

The 2nd most popular sex aid was the exciting dildo dong. Dongs are similar to vibrators except they do not have batteries or vibrate. Dongs come in all shapes and sizes from five inches to twelve inches. They can come with suction cups to have a superb experience hands free and can easily attach to a bath or toilet set. Dongs have been a firm top seller since the 1980s and looks like they will be around for a long time.

So it was decided that the vibrator was the winner and the dildo came in second place, with some many sex toys out there it was difficult to know which type of vibrator was the most exciting for women to try. The classic vibrators are battery powered and shaped like a mans penis. Classic vibrators are shaped just like the proper thing and use batteries for power. They can be made up of plastic, vinyl metal or silicone. They can either be slipped in or placed against your vagina to get the sexual feeling. Sex bomb stock a wide range of classic vibrators.

The funniest way to use classic vibrators is to make sure it is nice and fresh before use, make sure it is not too large for your vagina, and also make sure that you do not use it every Friday night and you do venture out on a date to the cafe.

Nine Rules for Avoiding Computer Viruses

Filed under: Online Technology Resources — admin at 7:07 pm on Saturday, April 26, 2008

If you’re seriously interested in knowing about computer
viruses, you need to think beyond the basics. This informative
article takes a closer look at things you need to know about
computer viruses.

A virus is a program - a piece of executable code - that has the
possibly of cloning itself. Computer viruses can spread fast and
they are hard to eradicate. They can be attached to any type of
file and they are spread as files copied and sent from person to
person. They can be contacted from a floppy disk or Cd, they can
be launched when opening a program or accessing a file, any
file, or they can be brought from the internet by downloading a
file or accessing a web page and as attachments to e-mails.

Besides replication, some viruses have something else in common:
their infecting routine. The behaviors of viruses vary from
showing messages or images to destroying files, formatting the
hard disk drive and other severe damage. If the virus does not
inflict damage it can still cause problems by taking up space
and memory, lowering the performances of the computer.

Nine rules for avoiding computer viruses would be:

If you find yourself confused by what you’ve read to this point,
don’t despair. Everything should be crystal clear by the time
you finish.

1. Use an anti virus program at all times. 2. Install and keep
active a firewall. 3. Make sure your system is up-to-date with
all the existent updates. 4. Keep your browsers security
settings at maximum. 5. Never click yes when your browser asks
you if you want to install or open some content coming from an
organization you don’t know or don’t trust. 6. Install an
anti-spy ware program to enlarge the protection. 7. Never
install a browser help or search bar accepting the times it
comes from a reliable source. 8. Use a different credit card for
online shopping. 9. Don’t click on email attachments that are
executable files even if they look as if sent from known persons.

The antivirus programs have a big role in providing your
computers security and protecting it from viruses, worms, Trojan
horses and other “invaders” that can attack a computer. The role
of an antivirus program is to detect the presence of viruses in
a computer, to disinfect the files or delete the ones that can’t
be disinfected and prevent the contamination of the computer.

Most of the companies that produce antivirus have online free
tools for scanning computers for viruses. If you don’t have an
antivirus yet and can’t decide which one to buy you can enter
their online sites and try the services for free, then decide
what to use.

That’s how things stand right now. Keep in mind that any subject
can change over time, so be sure you keep up with the latest
computer virus news.

Don’t Neglect Yourselves, Mom

Filed under: Gender Issues Parlor — admin at 4:55 pm on Saturday, April 26, 2008

2005 © Marsha Maung marshamaung@yahoo.com
http://www.marshamaung.com

I am a mother of two. I used to think my children ruled my world
and my body. I used to think that the world revolves around my
children and they deserve every single second of my time and
every single cent in my bank account.

Not that I don’t think so now, but as a mom, I can tell you that
if moms everywhere in the world continue to dedicate their
entire beings to their kids, the future will have loads of happy
and well-raised children. However, there will be a lot of moms
who lack self-confidence, are unhappy with the way they lived
their lives, and is discontented with the way they feel about
themselves. Future Moms will feel regret. Future moms will lose
their own identity. Future moms will feel dysfunctional in
social surroundings.

No, motherhood does not signify the end of yourself, just
because you had your kids. In fact, motherhood is something that
enhances and celebrates your womanhood. You’ve done something
that is STILL exclusive (naturally) to women. No man will ever
be able to give birth and nurture children the way we do.

But because of the overwhelming emotions, feelings and concern
that we have for our children, we might forget to tend to
ourselves. And that’s unhealthy for mothers, regardless of race,
religion and culture.

I strongly encourage all moms to be with ‘themselves’, without
the kids for 30mins - 60mins every single day. Moms could do
something impulsive, like go shopping without the kids. Moms
could go for a facial. Moms could visit the gym. Moms could call
a friend for a talk. Moms could pick up a good book and read it
in the bath! ANYTHING you want to do!

As a mother, I encourage you to dedicate some of your time and
financial resources on finding and connecting with yourself on a
daily basis. The method could be different because one method
may work for one mother and yet, it doesn’t work for the other.
So, find the right method that helps you spend some time with
yourself.

If you don’t, you’ll feel tired and resentful about being mom.
And when you’re at that stage, it’s hard to snap out of it and
you’ll end up mistreating, not only yourself, but your kids and
your husband too!

How did I know? Simple. It happened to me. I snapped out of it
and I hope that those who are in the same position can snap out
of it too. Don’t stay in the trance for too long.

Pamper yourself, you deserve it….yes, even though you’re mom,
you’re still a human being…you’re still a woman!

Secured Loans UK: Your Choice Defines Your Finances!

Filed under: Loans + Cash Info — admin at 4:35 pm on Saturday, April 26, 2008

We’ve all heard of the barter system. Secured Loans UK are something of the kind. They’ve got a little bit of “give” and a little bit of “take.” … obviously, or what sense would they make? Secured Loans UK are Personal Loans that are currently the favourite loan option in the UK. Owing to their practicality, feasibility and utility, Secured Loans UK has become so popular. Secured Loans UK are no longer rare; they are being taken for every small financial crunch - when pay cheques prove inadequate. The money obtained from Secured Loans UK can be out to use in several ways. They can help consolidate loans, buying your dream car, making home improvements, medical necessities, and education responsibilities and are therefore very flexible.

Secured Loans UK are so called because the loan amount approved is secured on the collateral you place against it, when you apply for the loan. This security, known as collateral is the main feature of Secured Loans UK. These loans enforce putting up collateral as security against the amount borrowed. The value of collateral has to more or less equivalent to the amount applied for. Collateral can be in the form of your home, any other property in your name, jewellery, an automobile, a bank account, etc. Your collateral stays with the lender until complete repayment of the loan. In case you default in these repayments, your asset can be seized.

It is this security that must be given credit for the attractive options of Secured Loans UK. These loans come with lower interest rates, higher loan amounts and longer repayment terms. Lenders prefer Secured Loans UK because they come with a lower degree of risk. In case you default in your repayments, a lender takes possession of your collateral to erase his loss.

Features of Secured Loans UK:

Secured Loans UK offer larger loan amounts that range from £5,000 to £75,000.

The repayment term for Secured Loans UK varies from 3 - 25 years.

The interest charged on Secured Loans UK is low as the risk borne by lenders is insignificant.

Secured Loan UK are far easier to obtain than Unsecured Loans. The added security that this loan gives the creditor is what creates the difference.

With excellent credit history and a good financial reputation you can expect amounts ranging up to 125% of your collateral value.

You can avail of a Secured Loan UK even with bad credit history; what you need to have is a securable asset that can act as collateral.

Secured loans UK are approved as soon as your repayment capacity and collateral are verified through a credit check.

The best advantage of Secured Loans UK is the probability of credit repair in the repayment process. As long as you make all your payments on time, a lender will continue to make positive credit reports against your name.

As Secured Loans UK are backed by collateral, most lenders approve loans even in cases of C.C.J’s, defaults, bankruptcies and arrears. This makes Secured Loans UK very attractive to people all over UK, who would otherwise not qualify for a loan from their local bank. Secured Loans UK are ideal for homeowners as well as non-homeowners.

When it comes to listing benefits of Secured Loans UK, I can go on, but exploiting these opportunities is something you have to take responsibility for. The market for Secured Loans UK is so extensive that it can confuse a borrower. Searching for the ideal Secured Loan UK is the main effort you need to make. Every lender seems to have options better than the other, so choose wisely. Weigh every option - when finalizing your loan consider the interest, the loan term, the monthly repayments, the lender’s fees, credit requirements and any other hidden costs. Don’t debate on clarifications - that is your right. Make sure you know exactly what you are getting into.

Considering your own finances, you can personalize your very own Secured Loan. There is no standard Secured Loan UK. So, get yours customized to your definition of “perfection!”

Love Actually (Movie Review)

Filed under: Life Of Movies — admin at 1:22 am on Saturday, April 26, 2008

One of the more interesting movies of 2003, Love Actually is a hilarious, romantic, emotional rollercoaster chronicling the effects of love on an interconnecting web of individuals. Filled with a number of memorable scenes, yet completely ignored by the Academy Awards, Love Actually is the type of film enjoyed by a wide array of people. I have yet to meet anyone who didn’t like it, which is saying a lot considering this could fall under the category of “chick flick”. But what makes Love Actually a successful film is its ability to identity with each audience member on a personal level. Each character is easy to relate to, and the multiple storylines are surprisingly easy to follow.

Starring a plethora of Hollywood stars and starlets (Liam Neeson, Emma Thompson, Hugh Grant, etc), Love Actually follows the lives of various loosely connected characters as they struggle to deal with their love lives in the hectic month leading up to Christmas. Set in London, England, the film is a collage of various lives. The central character is the world’s most eligible bachelor, the new Prime Minister named David (Hugh Grant), a powerful man who falls in love with his newly hired personal assistant Natalie (Martine McCutcheon), but can barely summon the courage to tell her how he feels.

The film also follows the life of the Prime Minister’s older sister Karen (Emma Thompson), a woman struggling with her husband Harry’s (Alan Rickman) possible infidelity with an office co-worker named Mia (Heike Makatsch) who she knows is after him. Meanwhile, Karen confides in her male friend Daniel (Liam Neeson) who is concerned about the strange behavior of his young son, who he later finds out is in love with a young girl in his class - a girl who will soon move to the United States. Rounding out the storylines are a writer who catches his girlfriend cheating and moves away to France where he find new love, a secretary who questions her love affair with an office co-worker she’s wanted for years, a photographer smitten with his best friend’s new wife, and a pair of porn stars who develop a relationship after filming a number of scenes together (many of these sequences are hilarious). To top it all off, one young man moves to Wisconsin were he believes girls will stand in line to make love to him. Love Actually features a multitude of eccentric and lovable characters the audience gets to know, and each character crosses paths in the final moments of the film, projecting a very uplifting message about life and relationships.

But the show stealer of Love Actually is Billy Mack (Bill Nighy), an aging rock star desperate to climb back to the top of the charts. He achieves his goal by means of a wildly outlandish and funny personality that puts him on radio and TV shows everywhere and leads to his indescribable song “Christmas Is All Around” taking the country by storm.

With a likeable cast of characters, and a multiplicity of viewpoints (pessimistic, optimistic, young & old, etc.), Love Actually is a refreshing film boasting a little bit of everything. It’s a film that will make you laugh, make you sad, and in general, provide you with a good feeling when it’s all over. For that reason, Love Actually is a definite must-see film. Don’t hesitate to rent this one…

ARM Loans

Filed under: Life + Real Estate — admin at 3:31 pm on Thursday, April 24, 2008

ARM stands for Adjustable Rate Mortgage. There are various types
of ARM products with the most common being the 1/1, 3/3, 5/1 and
7/1 ARM. The first number tells you the length of time the Rate
will be locked. The second number indicates the length of the
adjustment period after the initial rate lock period. For
example, the 7/1 ARM has the rate locked for seven years or 84
months. Then it will adjust annually thereafter. ARMs can be
amortized over 15, 20 or 30 year time periods which can allow
for lower monthly payments. One fear that most consumers have is
that the rate can adjust. However, most ARMs come with caps
which are usually 2% per year or 6% over the life of the loan.
This means, during the first adjustment period, the rate can’t
go up or down more than 2%. Let’s look at the 7/1 ARM again. If
the initial rate is 5.25%, then the rate can’t go higher then
7.25% at the end of the initial rate lock period of seven years
or 84 months.

ARM rates tend to be initially lower than fixed rate mortgages.
If you plan on only being in your home for 7 to 10 years, lock
in a 7/1 ARM and take advantage of the lower rate versus a 30
year fixed rate mortgage. Everyone’s situation is different, but
the average life of a mortgage loan ranges from 7 to 12 years
because people often move or refinance their loan. So, why not
enjoy the lower rate?

Need to Look Your Best in a Hurry? Tips for a Quick and Polished Look!

Filed under: Adorable Beauty — admin at 12:36 pm on Thursday, April 24, 2008

Need to look your best in a hurry? Start with your face: it’s your “canvas.”

Two ways to improve your appearance quickly are to get the glow of healthy skin and then create a “polished” look.

Have a little extra time the night before your event? Eliminate the buildup of dead surface cells that dull skin with a mask or microdermabrasion (use the right products for your skin type and special needs). Replenish moisture lost during the super-cleansing by hydrating your skin thoroughly. Define “fuzzy” lines, like your eyebrows, by shaping them to complement your face.

On the day of your event, cleanse, freshen (or tone), and moisturize your face and eye areas; foundation and makeup go on more smoothly and evenly over well-hydrated skin. Since the eye areas don’t produce their own moisture, use an eye cream; it’s specially formulated for that delicate skin. Moisturizers for the face tend to have humectants which can puff up the skin around the eyes.

Foundation and powder: Apply concealer, if necessary, and foundation. Then “finish” your face with powder. Powder “sets” the foundation so it lasts longer with less need for touch ups.

Eye primer: Put on eye primer or dust powder over your eyelids. Both provide a base for eye color so the color goes on evenly and stays in place longer without creasing and smudging.

Eye color: The simplest approach to eye color is to apply a neutral or soft shade (from the upper lashes to the brows) which will enhance or “pop” another color placed over it. Almost as easy is another technique using two colors. Follow the eye primer with a single color from lash to brow. Then apply a second stronger (or darker) color over the lids and into the creases to complement the shape of your eyes. If you’re getting ready for an evening event, be more dramatic than for an event during the day.

Eye liner: Line the eyes if it enhances them, staying close to the lash lines.

Mascara: To make your eye lashes appear thicker and longer, start with the wand close to the eyes and then wiggle the wand back and forth as you move it away from your eyes. To really “open” your eyes, use an eyelash curler.

Eyebrows: A simple and natural way to emphasize the eyebrows is to brush them with a matching shade of eye color and then set the color with a gel. The gel also helps emphasize and maintain the shape of your brows.

Cheek color: For your cheek color, either smile and apply blush to the apples of your cheeks or sweep it up along your cheek bones starting two fingers away from your nose and stopping at your temples. Then blend the color gently.

Lip liner, lipstick, lip gloss: If color ‘bleeding’ is a problem, run a lip outliner pencil along the outer edges of your lips. Define your lips with a lip liner, fill in color with a lipstick and polish with gloss.

You’re done … your canvas is now a “work of art!”

Sports Handicapping Articles: Washington Wizards Early 2006 Season Analysis

Filed under: Living With Sports — admin at 10:29 pm on Wednesday, April 23, 2008

With Larry Hughes leaving to join LeBron James in Cleveland, how much left is there of the Wizards? More than Chicago and Phoenix, Washington was the surprise team last year. After all, Arenas, Hughes and Jamison failed as teammates with the Warriors. Now it’s a two-man show and a playoff appearance would again be amazing. Can they prove everyone wrong?

Some players are stepping up. Brendan Haywood has shot 56%, 3rd best in the NBA. But he’s only averaging 6.4 RPG. Antawn Jamison is averaging a crazy 11.5 RPG along with his 19.7 PPG. Caron Butler is a 6th man candidate averaging 14.5 PPG off the bench, and Jarvis Hayes has displayed a great form in shooting. Of course Gilbert Arenas can’t be ignored with his 27.7 PPG. It’s going to be interesting to see whether Arenas and Jamison both make the all-star team, their team might not be good enough to warrant two all-stars.

Most aren’t though. Jared Jeffries is on the last year of his contract, and if he keeps playing like he is now, he won’t get a new one. Jeffries as the starting Power Forward is only getting 5.1 and 4.6. Antonio Daniels provides a defensive presence but hasn’t contributed at all offensively with just 4.7 PPG.

This team completely relied on the big three of Jamison, Arenas and Larry Hughes to carry them last year. But with Hughes gone, Jamison and Arenas have been carrying the load. Either Hayes or Butler should sub in for Antonio Daniels to give them more scoring. Jarvis Hayes has major potential to be more than just a bench player. Etan Thomas is a hustler like Chris Kaman who needs more playing since Jeffries isn’t delivering.

I wasn’t sold on Washington with Hughes and I definitely am not now that they don’t have him. Arenas and Jamison can only compensate so much before teams start to adapt. Getting it out of Arenas’ hands is the best way to stop Washington. When it comes to the playoffs, they are but one of many teams looking on the outside in. They don’t have enough offensive and defensive weapons to compete with the other Eastern teams. Their only hope is to milk Jamison and Arenas for 50 a night.

The Fascinating History of the Greyhound Dog

Filed under: Animal Care — admin at 10:01 pm on Wednesday, April 23, 2008

Greyhounds were depicted on art forms as far back as in the time of the ancient Pharaohs over 4,000 years ago. Yet the ancient Greyhound is not the one we know today, these dogs were more like the Saluki. The Saluki, also known as the Persian Greyhound, was revered and never sold. They were more often owned by nomads who would give them as gifts to traveling traders, thus were introduced to other parts of the world. In cooler climates like Russia the Saluki was crossed with other breeds to develop thicker coats like the Afgan. All these cross breeds that belong to the sleek, sight hunting dogs are known as sight hounds. The quintessential breed of this family being the Greyhound.

Today most Greyhounds derive from the British form. In Saxon times in Britian they were used for hunting by commoners and sport racing by the wealthy. In the 11th century using Greyhounds for hunting was banded so they remained largely used for coursing, dubbed the ‘Sport of the Queens’ because queen Elizabeth loved it so much. In 1776 the first course club was formed and it became a favorite past time of the upper class.

In the 1700’s Lord Oxford crossed the Greyhound with a Bulldog and back to Greyhounds for seven generations. The crossbreeds were dogs that could not be beaten at the racetrack. All present day Greyhounds are said to trace back to two of these crossbreeds. Greyhounds came to North America on Spanish expeditions and by being brought over by settlers who used them for vermin control on their farms.

Gabriele’s website http://www.1st-greyhound-dog-care.com was created for the appreciation of this unique breed. Having been an owner for fifteen years has given her first hand knowledge and a special love for the sensitive and beautiful Greyhound dog.
