How To Create A Stream Of Income

Filed under: Business Success — admin at 10:40 pm on Tuesday, May 27, 2008

I must say a lot of people today dream to live a comfortable life but most of them don’t do anything to fulfill that dream. I was one of those people myself until not long ago. It seemed as though there was a way to total abundance in life but I just never got to really focus on that particular area. Maybe for most of us it just seems like pie in the sky, and maybe for others just pure “could not be bothered” mentality.

What if you could take control of your destiny? What if there really was a way to live in total abundance like we all dream of? These questions and many more were constantly floating around in my head, taking me from one state of mind to another. I never got to fully understand my expectations and figure out a way to approach them with a particular strategy.

My life got to the point where I figured that one must plan their life out in order to achieve true success and fulfillment. Instead of just letting the day float by, doing unnecessary activities, with a little planning, a day can well and truly turn into a productive one. Even when you add up a ‘few’ days of productive activity you may be pleasantly surprised how much more you can accomplish.

Figuring out that planning is a necessity in our daily lives, I started writing down my thoughts and plans more frequently. Did you know that ‘just’ by writing down your thoughts, you could enhance your productivity and effectiveness dramatically? I started seeing things much differently doing so.

The next best thing other than living an experience is to see it in your minds eye. In other words using your imagination. This is when I discovered the beauty of NLP (Neuro Linguistics Programming). By simply visualizing events you’d like to experience, gets you closer to the actual thing. This is the basic concept behind NLP. I figured, the more often you visualize something, the more you get closer to physically living it. Adding the concept of planning with visualizing, I had the perfect recipe for achieving what I desire.

Creating a stream of income isn’t all that hard like many of us think it is. As I have mentioned earlier, by planning our days a little, I’m sure most of us can find a spare two or three hours a day. How much more can you accomplish if you knew you had set aside that time each and every day? If you were to think like me, you’d get excited to believe that you have the chance to add an extra stream or two or more of income.

With todays growing use of technology, more and more people are looking at ways to use the internet to create that additional stream of income mentioned earlier. The internet is an amazing tool that every potential entrepreneur or home business owner should closely consider utilizing. With the two to three hours created by planning each day, the internet is the perfect place to use that time to build your very own stream of income (or multiple streams).

When starting out on the internet don’t rush into things, but rather check out your options and see which affiliate programs and possible virtual franchises are available. Being involved in a business that triggers your senses in a positive way, leaves you with a better chance to succeed in the long run. Believing in a program will ensure you to get past the times when things are going tough.

Go to search engines and do searches on business opportunities, compensation plans, support provided by particular companies. Make sure you know what you are getting into and believe that you will succeed in a given period of time. Don’t expect to become a millionaire in a few months but do expect with a couple of years of consistent 2 hours or so work a day, you could be earning well into the 4 figures (possibly 5!).

Make no mistake that planning is the key to any success. Before you do anything make sure you change your attitude first. Then start planning your daily life to create a couple of hours to utilize. Once that accomplished, use the most incredible tool ever created on earth, the internet, to create a stream of income so you can live in total abundance.

Sandblast Your Way Through It All

Filed under: Online Technology Resources — admin at 2:36 pm on Tuesday, May 27, 2008

Sandblast is a process wherein a stream of sand is driven by a
jet of compressed air or by water against a surface. This
creates a powerful abrasive action that can clean and abrade any
surface put under the jet of these abrasive particles.

Abundant materials such as powdered quartz, emery, and iron
globules are usually used as the abrasive materials in
sandblast.

Sandblast is widely used for cleaning casting iron at foundries.
Sandblast is also used for preparing different surfaces for
painting, enameling and during galvanizing. Sandblast can also
be used in cleaning stubborn grime that has accumulated in the
stonework of most buildings.

Sandblast can also be used to create frosted designs on glass by
placing a suitable stencil or pattern over a plate of glass and
applied with a little sandblast. The jet of abrasive particles
of the sandblast will strike the uncovered portions of the plate
glass and create that frosted effect.

A sandblast operation can sometimes be a toxic undertaking.
Sandblast operators can be exposed to several harmful particles
such as lead or zinc that are important components of most
commercial surface coatings.

Sandblast operators can also be exposed to the hazards of the
abrasive particles being used. Without the proper safety
equipment like goggles to cover the eyes and suitable protective
clothing to shield against the flying particles, the sandblast
operator and crew will be dangerously exposed to possible
injury.

That is why there are several safety regulations to be followed
before any sandblast operations.

Sandblast operators should use a standard issue air breathing
apparatus while operating the machine. This will insure that the
sandblast operator will have a steady supply of clean air supply
amidst the workplace that will be filled with air contaminants
during operation.

It is also important to consider that the hoses as well as the
other equipment used to give the air supply to the sandblast
operator should be able to deliver clean and contaminant-free
air.

After operation, sandblast crew should only remove their air
breathing apparatus when they are well away from the workplace.
The sandblast particles can remain suspended in the air for long
periods even after the operation.

It is also necessary for sandblast operators to wear coveralls
that will provide suitable protection against rebounding
abrasives during the operation of the sandblast.

Work gloves must also be used to protect the full forearm. Sand
blast operators must also be able to wear the appropriate safety
footwear.

It is also important to carry out the sandblasting operations in
an area where the abrasive materials and other possible
contaminants are safely contained and will poser no threat to
other workers or to the public.

There are also some precautions that are to be observed when it
comes to the sandblast machine. The sandblast pot where the
abrasive particles are placed should be well grounded at all
times.

It also must be provided with a safety shut down feature to
further protect the sandblast operator. It is also important to
remember to turn off the sandblast pot first while filling it
with the abrasive particles to prevent accidents from happening.

The entire sandblast unit should be thoroughly inspected for
possible defects before it is to be used. Sandblast nozzles
should also be equipped with a safety control switch that will
enable the operator to control the sandblast at the nozzle.

Following these simple tips will ensure the crew with a
trouble-free sandblast operation.

Happy shopping with minikrediet

Filed under: Getting Credit, Loans + Cash Info, Money + Finance — admin at 10:10 am on Tuesday, May 27, 2008

It’s easy to compare 10 minutes minikrediet with us and hopefully you’ll soon have the cash you need to get by without worrying how far away your next payday may be.

Be sure to use the gsm minikrediet comparison tool at gsm minikrediet to compare rates. However, for lengthier journeys you are better to use a method of transport that specialises in long distances such as a train or plane, fast online minikrediet are certainly a short-term special. The charge you need to observe is how much you pay back on the amount you borrow - this is a fixed sum dependent on the individual provider. of us count down the hours until payday? For many it simply can’t arrive soon enough as we attempt to juggle bills and expenses, as well as trying to have a little fun in life. The premise behind online minikrediet is simple whatever you need 351 euro for, you can take out a loan (usually ranging from 319 euro but sometimes up to 1,000 depending on the provider) that is repayable on your next payday, whether it is 28 weeks away or less.

Unexpected expenses can hit even those who keep a tight grip on their finances if something goes wrong in the home, a family member needs support or you receive a larger than expected bill you might require cash to help you get by until your next wage slip.

As with all fast minikrediet it is best to take a complete search of the market before you apply for a fast online minikrediet for aount 167 euro so you can compare interest rates and make sure you are getting the best deal for your needs. This is where a minikrediet comes in, offering a suitable sum of money to help you get by. You must however, be able to satisfy the payday loan provider that you will have enough cash available to cover the advance repayment they will look at how much you can afford to pay back on an individual basis between 307 euro. However, this does vary with some providers charging 30 interest and so on. If you apply for an direct online minikrediet for 403 euro you will usually have to fill out an online form and attach copies of your documentation in an email, or by fax.

In the majority of instances for every 93 euro you borrow you have to pay back 223 euro, meaning 23 interest. However, it is not necessary to use the loan for this purpose and effectively the cash can be used at your discretion as long as it is paid back with interest during the short loan term. A direct minikrediet is a way to solve a short-term cash issue for amounts like 122 euro.

Ten Tips to Avoid Burnout

Filed under: Misc — admin at 3:05 am on Tuesday, May 27, 2008

Business Week October 3, 2005 recently ran an article entitled The Overworked Networked Family. In the article was a list of 7 tips to avoid burnout. I’ve modified their list a bit and added some of my own to make 10 tips. The focus of the article was how professionals and knowledge workers can use technology to balance work and family life.

1. Prioritize. What are the two or three things you must do during your day? Flag those tasks and do them first. Prioritize the rest of your “to do” list. As David Allen of David Allen and Company and author of Getting Things Done says, “There is always more to do than there is time to do it.”

2. Delegate less important tasks. If that is impossible put the least important tasks on the back burner.

3. Don’t over schedule yourself. Leave some time in your day for emergencies that come up.

4. Build enough time in your schedule to do the work. It is often best to double the amount of time you think you need to do a particular task. This will give you time to transition from one task to another. It also will allow you to take a breather once in a while too. If you are like me you often under estimate how long a project will take. Take stock of your ability to estimate. If you never have enough time to finish you may have to triple the amount of time you allot. If you are always right on the money then just add a small amount of additional time for breaks and transitions.

5. Use technology to your advantage. Manage your schedule around your family events or personal appointments. Today you can take the work home if you must or take time off during the day and work in the evening using technology. Do this to help balance work and family life. Use technology to help you to stay connected but remember there is always an off button!

6. Take time off. If you must be “on call” screen your calls and emails on a day off. Respond only when urgent. Set boundaries around your own free time. Take vacation time to get totally away from your work for a significant period of time (at least a week). www.TimeDay.org recommends 3 weeks vacation a year.

7. Schedule face to face time with friends and family. Being with colleagues and family is also important. Don’t isolate yourself. Make sure to spend time with both family and colleagues

8. Find ways to be creative. Cook, garden, paint, write, play an instrument, build something - just a few ideas to use your creativity and leave your work behind.

9. Exercise. Schedule workouts at the gym or leave time in your day for running, swimming, biking or playing tennis. Find ways to sweat!

10. Set a time to leave the office each day (before 9PM!) and stick to it. If your job requires late nights then come into work later too. Get 7 or 8 hours sleep each night.

Mirror, Mirror on the Wall

Filed under: Misc — admin at 1:48 am on Tuesday, May 27, 2008

“You, yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe
deserves your love and affection.” - Buddha When was the last
time you looked into the mirror and said something nice to the
person you saw in the reflection? I sometimes wonder what the
world would be like if there were no handmade mirrors and, the
only reflections we saw were in the eyes and faces of those we
love and who love us. I bet that would stop us from looking for
what is “wrong” with us and shift our attention from what the
eyes see to what the heart offers. Our life journey takes us
down many different roads and often detours us away from
ourselves. We forget that we are all human beings designed with
imperfections. We may even be more supportive and encouraging to
friends and relatives than to our precious selves… Our selves
who long to hear those words of encouragement and support. Is it
any wonder that we feel so bad when we have been so neglected?

I’m sure that we have all tried do the “right” things….you
know, go to the right schools, meet the right people, get the
right job, marry the right person….Society often seduces us
into believing that if we do all of the “right” things then we
will be happy and successful. Many of us at midlife have
experienced that you can do all of the “right” things and still
find yourself waking up each day unhappy with who and where you
are in life. We finally understand in a very personal way that
what makes one person happy and successful is not always the
same for us. Yet, we are so far off from our own paths we don’t
even know how to find the way back home… to ourselves.

To live an authentic life requires patience and quiet time. We
must be willing to step off the treadmill we’ve been running on
and set some time aside for ourselves. It may only be 15 minutes
each morning or before going to bed. Enjoy how good it feels to
be the most important person in your life. After all, without
you there is nothing.

In this quiet space you may even find a new path, one of your
own making, and one that just might lead you back to yourself.
Don’t wait for someday. Begin now.

How to Lose Weight in a Healthy Way with Hypnosis

Filed under: Medical Management — admin at 12:57 am on Monday, May 26, 2008

More and more people are turning to hypnosis or hypnotherapy for help with weight loss. Most people who seek the help of a hypnotherapist will have already tried numerous diets or slimming programs with little in the way of lasting results.

Many traditional weight loss programmes leave us feeling frustrated and deprived. Noticeable results are sometimes a longtime coming and in the meantime life seems to be governed by our latest “diet”. Our lack of motivation means that with no immediate benefits to show for all our hard work we tend to just give up - until the next time!

Using hypnosis to aid weight loss, you will feel healthier, more energetic and happier from day one. You will find it easy to be in control of your food intake and exercise routine and you will feel proud of your healthier lifestyle. “Dieting” has never been this good!

In just one session, lasting no more than 2 hours, you will learn to take control and enjoy a healthier, happier life.

Hypnosis is a perfectly natural phenomenon that occurs in both man and in animals and is as much a part of our everyday functioning as seeing and hearing.

There is nothing magical about hypnosis and contrary to popular belief it is not a state of sleep. It is better described as a state of heightened awareness and concentration at one with a feeling of calm and lethargic relaxation.

There are no adverse side effects from hypnosis and it is inconceivable that anyone could come to any harm as a result of it. It is totally safe, natural and non-addictive.

Hypnotherapists use the power of suggestion to induce the hypnotic state in a client and then work with the client’s altered state of awareness to bring about a therapeutic end. This would usually be to help someone to stop doing something that they do not want to do or to start doing something that they would like to be able to do.

Hypnosis itself, therefore, is not an end result but used wisely is a powerful, natural tool in the aid of therapy.

Ugly Sell Off, Margin Money Management

Filed under: Investing In Markets — admin at 2:18 pm on Sunday, May 25, 2008

10/15/2005

BIRTP Performance

Market sold off sharply in the past week, so did Blast Investor
Real-time Plus model portfolio. Nasdaq index is down -5.08% year
to date. The S&P 500 index is down -2.09% year to date. The
Blast Investor Real-time Plus (BIRTP) model portfolio continues
to beat the index handsomely, with year-to-date gain of 48.34%.
Since inception, BIRTP model portfolio is up 136.64%,
significantly outperforming the S&P500’s 6.5% return.

Anxiety in Blog Private Club One of side effect of this sell off
is anxiety and nerves I can observe in our Blog Private Club.
Headlines such as “oh my god, what’s wrong” [ hidden link ]
certainly would put BIRTP blog readers on edge. While BIRTP past
newsletter publications mostly focused on stock picks, now it is
time to sit back and review issues which are much more important
than pure stock picks.

Pitfall that Hinders Success The process of successful stock
investment is far more complicated than simply picking stock
winners. It was quite common that an average individual investor
would have picked couple of stocks that rose 50% or even 100% in
relatively short time frame. This was particularly true in the
bubble time of late1990’s. However, if we look around our
friends or around our neighbors, we really can not find that
much of successful stock market millionaires. Why is that?

By my observation, one of pitfalls that has hindered success of
individual investors is margin money management.

Margin Management - Winners or Losers?

If you have not read my free article titled Leverage - Margin
Debt, Please read it. Pay close attention to the 2 hypothetical
cases in the article. In both cases, the investor picked same
stock and held the stock for the same time frame. However, one
result was success of 20% return, another case was wipe-out.

This is just too important issue so that I have to emphasize
again and again. Don’t assume successful stock market investment
is all about stock picking. Think about it, 2 stock investors
who invested into same stock and held it during same time frame,
one was a winner who become richer and richer every year,
another was a loser who lost everything in stock market.

Making big money in stock market is not all about stock picks,
it is also about sound money management. If one followed Warren
Buffet’s USG pick from 2001 exactly at his entry price around
$14, he/she might have lost her/his shirt when USG dropped below
$10 later on if she/he put USG on 100% margin at $14 a share.
Was there anything wrong with Buffet’s pick of USG in 2001?
Certainly not, who can argue with 40% annualized return on USG
investment that Buffet had enjoyed over past 4 years?

This over-margin urge is purely due to greed in investors’
psychology. Investors tend to want their money to work harder
and harder to maximize the big return with higher and higher
leverage. They are unaware of the hidden trap of money
management issues or they are incapable of avoiding the traps.
Even though BlastInvest BIRTP service can not advice on
personalized investment issues, we want to help and this is the
tip that I can offer to any of you directly if you have this
problem.

Beating the Dreaded Greedy Urge with Fear

In long term investment based value investing philosophy, we
typically do not want to sell a stock during a sharp sell off.
We want to hold or even buy on sharp sell off and we want to
sell during big rally. This is all nice in theory, but it is not
very clear cut in real life stock investment. This philosophy
only works well when a portfolio is reasonably diversified and
with reasonably small margin leverage. If a portfolio is full of
margin at 100% level of equity, this philosophy is no longer
correct.

Let me make it clear. First of all, I am not afraid of any big
sell off. In fact, I view recent big ugly sell off as pretty
normal market correction. I do not believe that I can predict
short term directions of market, nor do I have interest in
predicting them. Therefore, BIRTP will just sit tight and buy
and hold at this ugly period.

However, I believe the fear of the hypothetical wipe-out caused
by over-leveraging is real fear. I want you to be fearful and I
want you to be afraid so that you can use this fear to fight the
greedy urge to use more and more margin!

If you are already in this over-leveraging situation, start to
act as soon as possible, and be fearful. You do not have to sell
all of the margin positions at one time, you can sell some
immediately and sell another portion at later time at rebounce.
But, do not do wishful thinking and pretend that this is not an
issue. The hypothetical wipe-out situation can happen to any
stock pick, including those same stock picks in BIRTP portfolio.

If you are already having the similar margin level as BIRTP
does, do not rush into buying more cheap stocks at this sell off
using more and more margin. Yes, you may be lucky to catch the
rebounce this time by fully leveraging up your account. Next
time, you may not be that lucky and the wipe-out risk is real
and there.

BlastInvest Margin Management Philosophy BIRTP model portfolio
operates like a hedge fund. BIRTP model portfolio money
management is pretty aggressive, seeking the maximum value and
super performance within the margin of safety of value investing
method. We are not shy about using margin leverage to deliver
the whopping investment return to our readers. Our model
portfolio operation is not bound by bureaucracy of mutual fund
world. Our current nearly 50% year to date performance is
evidence of our success.

However in general, we do not believe BIRTP’s style of
aggressive money management is for everyone. If you like the
aggressiveness of BIRTP margin management, and you are passive
investor following BIRTP, you are fine because the BIRTP model
portfolio already have my past decades of stock experience in
it. For those who are not comfortable with any margin,
newsletter offers flexibility so that you can use BIRTP picks,
but with no margin.

Final Thought on This Big Sell Off Are we close to the end of
this sell off? I do not know. Is this question that important
for BIRTP model portfolio? Not really. Regardless of the end or
not end of sell off, I am confident that in the long run, BIRTP
model portfolio would do fine in its performance.

Placebo Effect Is Not Just Psychological

Filed under: Templates Hub — admin at 12:18 pm on Sunday, May 25, 2008

Copyright 2005 Daily News Central

Patients who believe in the effectiveness of their pain
medication will experience greater pain relief, finds a
University of Michigan study published in the Journal of
Neuroscience. Just thinking that a medicine will relieve pain is
enough to prompt the brain to release its own natural
painkillers, results indicate.

The study, funded by the National Institutes of Health, provides
the first concrete evidence that endorphins, the brain’s own
pain-fighting chemicals, play a direct role in the phenomenon
known as the “placebo effect.”

Endorphins behave similarly to opiate drugs, such as heroin and
morphine. They bind to receptors and stop the transmission of
pain signals along the nerve pathways. Previous studies have
shown that the brain responds physically during the placebo
effect, but the new study is the first to pinpoint a specific
mechanism that triggers the brain’s physical response.

“This deals another serious blow to the idea that the placebo
effect is a purely psychological, not physical, phenomenon,”
says lead author Jon-Kar Zubieta, MD, PhD, associate professor
of psychiatry and radiology at the U-M Medical School and
associate research scientist at the Molecular and Behavioral
Neurosciences Institute.

The study involved 14 young men who agreed to allow researchers
to inject their jaw muscles with a concentrated salt-water
solution to induce pain. Brain scans were performed on the
subjects to monitor the activity of their brains’ natural
painkilling endorphins during the process.

Mind-Body Connection Clear

During one scan, they were told they would receive a medicine
(in fact, a placebo) that might relieve pain. Subjects reported
a lessening of pain after receiving the placebo, and brain scans
indicated increased endorphin activity in four areas of the
brain known to be involved in the response to, and processing
of, pain.

Every fifteen seconds, the subjects were asked to rate the
intensity of their pain on a scale of 0 to 100. After each scan,
the researchers asked the participants more questions about
their mood, emotions and other aspects of how they felt during
the scans.

There were significant differences between ratings given by
participants after the scan in which they received the placebo
compared to the scan during which they received the jaw
injection alone.

“We were able to see that the endorphin system was activated in
pain-related areas of the brain and that activity increased when
someone was told they were receiving a medicine to ease their
pain. They then reported feeling less pain. The mind-body
connection is quite clear,” reports Zubieta.

Suggestion Triggers Endorphin Release

Another scan was performed in which subjects were administered
additional placebo prior to increased pain-induction to discern
whether endorphin activity could be stimulated solely by
suggestion.

As additional placebo was administered, endorphin activity
increased. Researchers then had to increase the amount of
salt-water in order to maintain the subjects’ pain levels, which
they did without their knowledge.

Two-thirds of the study participants were classified as “high
placebo responders,” experiencing significant endorphin activity
through the power of suggestion. This helps explain why so many
people report relief after receiving therapies and remedies that
provide no actual physical benefit.

This new information may lead to better use of cognitive, or
psychological, therapy for people with chronic pain, the authors
suggest.

Researchers used positron emission tomography (PET) scans to
determine exactly which part of the brain the endorphin activity
originated from, cross-registering them with magnetic resonance
imaging (MRI) scans for the purposes of accuracy.

Understanding Marketing Tax Deductions

Filed under: Money + Finance — admin at 11:43 am on Sunday, May 25, 2008

Marketing is a necessary expense in running practically any business and the IRS acknowledges as much. You may run advertisements on or in the Internet, radio, television, magazines, newspapers and other media to sell your products or services. You should be deducting all of the associated costs on your tax returns.

Ordinary Marketing Expenses

Marketing costs must be “ordinary and necessary” business expenses in order to be deductible. Put in layman’s terms, you marketing must be reasonably related to the promotion of your business and the expense amount must be a reasonable amount.

Deductible Marketing Expenses

Common deductible marketing expenses include the costs associated with the following items:

A. Yellow Page Advertisements,

B. Business Cards,

C. Advertisements in print media such as newspapers,

D. Telemarketing,

E. Business Cards,

F. Web site costs including creation and maintenance,

G. Costs for Advertisements on the Internet,

H. Billboards, and

I. Graphic design costs.

Goodwill Marketing For Your Business

Marketing that is intended to portray your business positively can be deducted. Such marketing creates a long-term potential for business and, thus, falls within the ordinary and normal requirements of the tax code. Examples of such marketing include:

A. Sponsoring local youth sports teams,

B. Distributing samples of your business product, and

C. Costs associated with prizes offered by your business in a contest.

As long as your marketing expenses can be reasonably related to the promotion of your business, you should be deducting said expenses from your gross revenues. If you failed to claim any such expenses on your tax returns, your probably overpaid your taxes.
